In this hybrid role you will report to our People Business Partner, Director for Engineering.

You will:

• Act as the visible, accessible face of the People Team on-site. Host local events, partner closely with leaders, and build trust across all levels to maintain a pulse on site sentiment.
• Implement and tailor global cultural programs to the local UK context to foster a strong sense of belonging.
• Champion the unique needs, cultural nuances, and feedback of the London team to our broader People Team, ensuring local Waymonauts feel supported and connected.
• Serve as the local first line of defense for compliance, ensuring strict adherence to UK labor laws, employment standards, site-specific contracts, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with People Business Partners (PBPs) and People Experience Partners (PXPs) to provide critical UK-specific context for investigations, performance management, or local disciplinary processes.
• Partner with global COEs to roll out key initiatives ensuring local communication and logistics align with local norms.
• Partner directly with local leadership to align People strategies with London office growth goals.
• Work alongside our Talent acquisition team members to support local hiring outcomes, providing local context, helping address process gaps, and championing equitable process and outcomes throughout the local candidate journey.

You have:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of relevant HR work experience, with a significant background working within tech companies or fast-paced technology environments in the UK market.
• Deep, demonstrated understanding of UK labor laws, employment contracts, regulatory compliance, and managing local disciplinary/performance frameworks.
• Experience extracting meaningful insights from HR data and metrics to identify trends, solve local challenges, and drive informed business decisions.
• Proven track record of directly partnering with senior business and engineering leaders as a trusted advisor.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the proven ability to build trust across diverse backgrounds and levels.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a role model for key behavioral norms: managing ambiguity, driving execution, upholding high standards, and making sound decisions in complex scenarios.

• A balance of experience working in both high-growth startup environments and established global technology companies scaling in international markets.
• Native understanding of the London tech ecosystem, local market trends, and talent landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to seamlessly transition between high-level strategic alignment with leadership and hands-on, tactical floor support.
• Expertise in cross-functional negotiation, building consensus, and influencing without authority across complex global matrix environments.
• Strong background in guiding site locations through rapid growth, organizational change, or program adaptations without sacrificing team cohesion.
