The Strategy & BizOps team drives and executes against the company’s go-to-market strategy. We leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to create long-term business strategies and help execute on Waymo’s commercial deployment. The team is analytically driven, with a proactive mentality, focused on finding and delivering on high impact projects.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director of Business Operations.

You will:

  • Be a foundational member for the Waymo Bizops team and you will be responsible for helping to build and execute our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, tackling the most complex analytical and operational challenges
  • Analyze ambiguous problems, build processes from the ground up, and lead cross-functional projects that bring our GTM strategy to life
  • Conduct deep-dive market analysis, competitive landscaping, and quantitative modeling to support strategic decisions, including opportunity prioritization, pricing scenarios, and making difficult trade-offs 
  • Lead and manage high-priority, cross-functional initiatives by collaborating effectively with Product, Partnerships, Policy, Regulatory, Operations, and many other teams   
  • Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the ride-hailing business, translating data into actionable insights for leadership

You have:

  • 6-10 years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic role, such as:
    • Management Consulting
    • Investment Banking
    • Strategy & Business Operations (BizOps)
    • Corporate Strategy
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical modeling skills (e.g., advanced Excel / Google Sheets, advanced Google Slides) and the ability to build data-driven business cases
  • Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, particularly to senior leadership 
  • Can roll up their sleeves and get things done

We prefer:

  • Experience in a high-growth technology or mobility
  • Prior strategic / analytical experience in a tech company (chief of staff, bizops / strategy)
  • Experience with commercialization / go-to-market strategy (e.g., pricing, partner strategy)

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 10% travel may be required 

 

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process. 

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements. 

Salary Range
$204,000—$259,000 USD
