Thank you for considering Waymo! We are piloting use of Gemini to generate transcripts and notes in Google Meet interviews to improve the interview experience. Your participation in the pilot is voluntary and will not affect your candidacy.

What are Gemini-generated transcripts and notes?

Google Meet can use Gemini to generate transcripts and summaries (notes) of the conversation. These can help interviewers recall details and organize their thoughts when writing interview feedback. 

• Transcripts: A text record of what was said during the interview
• Notes: AI-generated summaries of key discussion points

How will Gemini-generated transcripts and notes be used?

• Gemini-generated transcripts and notes are accessible only to Google personnel directly involved in the interview process, such as the interviewer and scheduling team.
• Gemini-generated transcripts and notes are aids for the interviewer in preparing their feedback. They are not used to make any independent or autonomous hiring recommendations or decisions. Interviewers are required to input their own feedback, and to make their own hiring recommendations and decisions.
• Consent is entirely optional and will not affect your candidacy. You can provide or decline consent by filling out this form before an interview. You can revoke consent during an interview by notifying your interviewer.
• All information collected will be handled in accordance with Waymo’s Applicant and Candidate Privacy Policy.

Important note on consent

Even if you provide consent via this form, your interviewer will verbally confirm your consent at the beginning of your interview before activating Gemini-generated transcripts and notes. If consent is declined beforehand, the feature is not used. You may also revoke consent during the interview at any time. If consent is revoked mid-interview, the Gemini feature will be disabled, stopping all further transcription and note-taking by Gemini. Transcription and note-taking generated by Gemini up to the point of revocation will be retained in accordance with Waymo’s Applicant and Candidate Privacy Policy.
